| Solo: The participants prepare and present three dances. All three are based on the language of ballet. Two of them should be variations from the classic repertoire. (See, the following page.)
The third dance may reflect a historic, national or ethnic style. It may also be an expression of drama, comedy or pantomime. It maybe quoted from (a) one of the ballets, (b) having its origin in theatrical dancing, or (c) is an original composition, highlighting the quality of the participant.
*The duration of each dance for Solo: 1—2 minutes
Duo and Trio: The participants prepare and present three dances. All three are based on the language of ballet. Two of them should be dances from the classic repertoire. (See the following page.)
The repertoire of the grand pas de deux and the pas de trois qualify here, with sections of the entrée and adagio, and the coda.. Also the literal interpretation of pas de deux and the pas de trois: Dances for two or three dancers, female or male, in any combination, from the classic repertoire.

Ensemble: The participants prepare and present three dances. All three are based on the language of ballet. Two of them should be dances from the classic repertoire. (See the following page.)
The increased number of dancers, allows the presentation of a larger segment, from the chosen classic ballets.
Ensemble 1: 4 - 6 Dancers Ensemble 2: 7 - 11 Dancers Ensemble 3: 12 - 17 Dancers Ensemble 4: 18 Plus Dancers

*In practice, there is some flexibility regarding the duration of each presentation, as we consider the nature of the chosen dance. So, there is some flexibility, regarding the size of an Ensemble.
